So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone, in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord. In him you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit.
— Ephesians 2:20-22 (ESV)

Trinity Grace Church is a new church for Suffield and north-central Connecticut.  Our vision is to be a family formed by the gospel, to worship Christ and to love God and neighbor.  As the body of Christ in Suffield, CT we have a deep passion to see Christ glorified and people raised from death to life.

We are a:

Gospel Centered People - We believe the gospel, or “good news,” IS grace – amazing, free, unlimited grace – such that where sin abounds, grace abounds all the more, and is received through faith alone. We desire to be a people fully shaped by the gospel in all areas of life; how we serve, give, suffer, celebrate and relate to others.

Missional People - We believe that local, Christ-centered churches are the very center of Christ’s saving presence here on Earth. We desire to be the presence of Christ to this world, and He is our head as we are His body. We believe that we are all missionaries to the people and place that God has called us, from Suffield to the ends of the Earth.  This makes our approach to evangelism and discipleship participatory and not simply something the “professionals” do.

Confessional People - We believe that the Scriptures are our only rule of faith and practice, and that we are to be a church rooted in historical Christianity. We desire to read and understand Scripture with the historical church that is passed down from every age and place through the use of the Confessions of Faith.  Our consensus is reflected in the Westminster Confession of Faith which is consistent with other familiar creeds such as the Apostles’ and Nicene creeds.  We strive to apply our beliefs to all of life.

Sacramental People - While we do not believe the sacraments save anyone we do believe they are a vital part of the Christian life.  We believe that the sacraments of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper are means of grace by which we receive the grace of Christ, our priest. We celebrate the sacraments weekly in worship and then go as Christ’s incarnation presence to the world.  We are his body.

Community -  We believe that the church is the family of God, that we are related to one another by the blood of Christ, and that the world will know us by our love for one another.  We want to emphasize a ministry where community really matters.  We are truly brothers and sisters in Christ with a perfect heavenly Father.
